What happens the first time someone uses CITY, and how their character works.

Adding CITY to a server

Once CITY has been invited to a server, it is ready to use right away. There is nothing to set up first. Members run its slash commands, and server managers can open the dashboard at bossx.ca to turn features on or off per server.

CITY keeps one account per person, shared across every server the bot is in. Your balance, character, and progress travel with you.

The first time you interact

The first time you run any CITY command, before your account exists, the bot stops and walks you through a short setup. Nobody else can see it, and it only happens once.

The first step is picking a color for your character. There are thirteen to choose from:

  • Red
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Aqua
  • Blue
  • Purple
  • Pink
  • Brown
  • Tan
  • White
  • Grey
  • Black

This is only the starting color. It is not locked in, and picking one now does not stop you changing it later.

Choosing a body type

After the color, CITY asks you to pick a body type. There are two, labelled simply Body Type A and Body Type B. This is a look only. It has no effect on your character's performance, your earnings, or anything you can do in the bot.

Once both are chosen, a short tour covers currency, your profile, getting help, and the rank system. You can replay that tour any time with /tutorial.

Your character traits

Your color and your body type are your character's traits. They show up wherever your character is drawn, such as your /profile, and they sit alongside the cosmetic side of CITY, hairstyles and outfits, which you unlock and equip separately.

Changing them later

Neither choice is permanent. You can restyle your character whenever you like with /customize:

  • /customize color switches your character color.
  • /customize body switches your body type.

Each change costs 5 Gold. Gold is CITY's premium currency, so a change is meant to be a deliberate choice rather than something you do every day. You earn Gold by playing, and the more you build up, the more freely you can re-style your character. Color and body type changes only ever cost Gold, never real money.
