Hunt
How /hunt works, and every animal you can bring home.
The basics
- Cooldown: 60 seconds.
- You need: a gun and at least one Bullet. Each shot uses one bullet.
- Guns come in tiers. Better guns have more HP (last longer before breaking) and a lower miss chance.
- What you can find depends on the country you are in. Move with
/travel.
Guns
Pick a gun from a select menu when you run /hunt. Each shot costs 1 HP of durability, on top of the miss chance below. When a gun hits 0 HP it breaks and is gone for good.
| Tier | Gun | HP | Miss chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Glock 19 | 20 | 30% |
| 2 | Mossberg 500 | 40 | 25% |
| 3 | C7A2 | 100 | 20% |
| 4 | M249 SAW | 200 | 15% |
| 5 | Barrett M107 | 400 | 10% |
| 6 | Desert Eagle | 1200 | 5% |
C7A2 also doubles as the required tool for the Military job, see Jobs.
How a hunt plays out
- You select a gun, then roll for what your trip turns up: 54% common, 20% Lumber, 15% rare, 10% endangered, or 1% Mushroom.
- Finding Lumber or a Mushroom ends the trip immediately - no animal, no shot fired, straight to your inventory.
- Otherwise you spot an animal. You choose Shoot or Leave. Leaving costs nothing but still starts the cooldown.
- On Shoot: your gun's miss chance decides if the animal gets away, otherwise you catch it. Either way, your gun loses 1 HP and breaks if that hits 0.
Endangered animals
If the animal is endangered and you shoot it, there is a 50% chance rangers catch you. If they do, the kill is confiscated and you are fined 50,000 Bucks (or your whole balance if it is lower).
Animals by location
| Country | Common (50%) | Rare (15%) | Endangered (10%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| CITY | Rabbit | Moose | Cougar |
| United States | Turkey | Bear | Bison |
| Morocco | Partridge | Gazelle | Lion |
| Spain | Fox | Deer | Wolf |
| Australia | Duck | Kangaroo | Wombat |
| Brazil | Monkey | Capybara | Jaguar |
| China | Chicken | Cow | Panda |
| Anywhere | Lumber (20%) | Mushroom (1%) | n/a |
The rarity percentages above are the same in every country. Catching a rarer animal doesn't pay more on its own, but rarer animals are worth more when sold with /sell. See the Items page for sell values.
